Sharper Thinking

The Gette Direct Drive System (DDS) uses all of the bikes' gears. This means our bikes are able to provide unmatched bottom end torque for hill climbing and superb cruising speed when compared to the old-school technology of hub motors of the same power output.

With the Gette DDS, you need less gears, and less gear changing so your ride is easier and more fun. With 3 power modes you can crank up the watts to suit your mood and the terrain, all with a simple touch of the control panel. Gette electric bikes are designed to give deliver a "smooth floating" ride when you're in power mode.

Power is controlled either by using the simple twist grip throttle or Gette's unique Pedelec system.

'Pedelec' is where the engine engages and disengages when you start and stop pedalling. This feels more like riding a bike and increases travel distance and fitness.

Hit the brakes and you override the power control, so you're on power only when you need it.

Rules of the Road for the Electric Bike

The rated output of the motor is less that 200W – so it's classed as a "bicycle" by ALL Australian states and territories. This means that you don't need to worry about any licensing or registration issues.
