Gette the Advantage
A New Breed of Electric Bike
Most electric bikes have hub motors that sit on the front or rear bike wheel. It's an inefficient, old school technology that makes for an underpowered, poorly balanced, uncomfortable ride. This old technology is not much to look at either.
What's Under the Bonnet?
With a patented, centrally mounted motor, the Gette range of electric bikes delivers a superior aesthetic and performance.
The discreet central mount gives Gette electric bikes a great overall balance, so that they ride as good as they look. The direct drive system develops greater torque through the pedals delivering a climbing ability and cruising speed that leaves other electric bikes for dead.
Old School Electric Bikes
Why old school electric bikes just don't cut it:
- Steep hills are a no go, with maximum climbing ability of only 8%
- Hub motors work with magnets which actually makes it harder to pedal when you ride power free
- Because of the uneven weight distribution caused by the hub mounted motor, riding an old style electric bike feels wonky and unbalanced
- Delivering power through either the front or back wheel on a loose road surface can be dangerous.
- Hub monitors need special non standard wheels
